Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use the EquitySecure eligibility check, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is the data controller

Noahsure Group Limited (company number 12364489), registered office 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AA, trading as EquitySecure, is the controller of the personal data you submit through this website. You can contact us at admin@noahsure.co.uk or by post at the address above.

What we collect

Through the eligibility funnel and any related correspondence we collect:

  • Identity and contact details: your full name, email address and telephone number (stored in international E.164 format together with the country you selected).
  • Property information: the property postcode, an optional address line, your estimated property value and your outstanding mortgage balance.
  • Financial information: your annual income, employment type and your self-declared credit rating, plus the indicative equity and loan-to-value figures we calculate from your answers.
  • Record keeping: your enquiry reference, the date and time of submission, the page or source the enquiry came from and limited technical information such as your browser user agent.
  • Account information, if you register for a partner or administrator account: your email address, telephone number and organisation membership.

We do not carry out a credit search as part of the eligibility check, and completing it leaves no footprint on your credit file.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): when you tick the box asking us to pass your details to a qualified adviser, we rely on your consent to make that introduction. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to operate, secure and improve the service, to calculate indicative figures, to keep records of introductions and fees, to prevent fraud and misuse, and to respond to your enquiries. We have balanced these interests against your rights and only use the minimum information needed.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests from regulators or authorities.

Who we share it with

EquitySecure is an introducer and lead generation platform. We do not give financial advice and we do not arrange credit. With your consent we share your enquiry — including your contact details, property postcode and the financial information above — with one or more mortgage brokers authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, so that a qualified adviser can contact you and, if appropriate, advise on and arrange a second charge mortgage. Each broker is an independent controller of your data from the point they receive it and will provide their own privacy information.

We also share data with service providers acting on our instructions, including:

  • our hosting and database provider, which stores enquiry records;
  • our email delivery provider, which sends your confirmation email and our internal alerts;
  • professional advisers, auditors and, where required, regulators or law enforcement.

We never sell your data for unrelated marketing. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for six years from your last contact with us. This reflects the period in which a complaint or a query about an introduction, an introduction fee or a regulatory record may arise. Partner and administrator account records are kept for as long as the account is active and for six years afterwards. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
  • request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • ask us to erase your data where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
  • restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any right, email admin@noahsure.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

Cookies

We set cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site and keep it secure. Any non-essential measurement cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
